Pixelated Plus, an awesome and fun strategy game that originally launched for the Storm, is now available for the BlackBerry Tour 9630. The object of the game is to turn the entire game board one color by starting in the top left corner, and selecting colors from the swatches at the bottom. My description doesn’t do the game justice, here’s the official word from App World:

The object of the game is to change the color of the squares until the entire screen is a single solid color. This is done by using the colored buttons on the bottom of the screen to change the colour of the square in the upper left hand corner and those surrounding it. Changing this square to the color of those around it, allows it to slowly grow until it fills the entire screen. The ultimate goal is to do so in as few moves as possible.

Note that the Tour 9630 compatibility have only arrived for Pixelated Plus. It’ll set you back $2.99. The original and free version of the game titled ‘Pixelated‘ is still compatible with the Storm only. Storm users, I highly suggest you download and try it out.

Note for iPhone users: I’ve been playing a game almost identical to this one on my iPhone for some time now. Called Flood-It! (iTunes link), the game follows the exact same rules… Except there are a few more color and board-size options. It’s free, but ads are supported. Flood-It! Pro is available for $0.99 (iTunes link). You’ll lose the ads and gain some new gameplay features. Truly a great game, I often find myself popping it open for a quick game.
