Guess we expected this to start happening. Some apps will work on the iPhone 3GS, only. And I’m not talking about those apps that require a compass, which is not found in the original iPhone nor iPhone 3G – I’m talking about applications and games that will take advantage of more powerful CPU and more RAM iPhone 3GS has.
On that note, mobile games developer Chillingo said it will release the Toki Tori Deluxe, the game that will work on the latest iPhone handset, only. The updated version of the game will feature additional particle effects, more environment layers, more moving objects and better interactive cut-scenes mooted. Chillingo’s Chris Byatte said: “What we will be aiming for is to get Toki Tori to match, and in some cases surpass, the graphical fidelity of the WiiWare original of Toki Tori.”
Sounds promising, but what about the “old” iPhone users? Well, they’ll have to settle for the original title, until they upgrade. Grrrr…
