Yo yo yo all you beat freaks! Star6 has announced the Star6 Video Freakout contest (http://agilepartners.com/apps/star6/contest/).  Star6 fans are invited to create and submit a video that shows how creative, fun and crazy they can be with Star6.  There will be two Grand Prizes worth up to $500 each.
What is Star6? Glad you asked:
Star6 is the iPhone application that turns any music lover into an electronic musician.  The app was developed by Agile Partners (creators of the popular GuitarToolkit iPhone app) and musician Jason Forrest. The app lets anyone create an infinite variety of amazing sounds from their own samples or by using Star6’s free presets. See it in action here:

Now back to the competition:
Entering the contest is easy: create and upload a video to your YouTube account, join Star6’s YouTube group (http://www.youtube.com/group/star6contest) and click on the ‘Submit a video’ button.  The deadline for submitting videos is 12:00 midnight EST, September 27, 2009.  The 1st place winners in both the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice categories will each receive a $250 Apple Gift Card or iTunes Gift Card.  If the Star6 YouTube group has more than 3,000 members by the end of the contest, the Grand Prizes will double in value to $500 each!  Thus, participants should invite their friends to join the YouTube group and “Favorite” their video submission.  Winners will be announced on September 28, 2009.

Ben is a 10+ year veteran of the Mobile industry – starting his career when SMS was a still a relatively new concept for most people (!), he has now consulted on everything from bleeding-edge Mobile content, to the next-gen accessories you might view it on. As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas! He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it... His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the occasional look at devices. Additionally, using his extensive experience in the industry, he will provide commentary on the industry at large, with regular (and hopefully thought-provoking) articles.
