FYI: Shopped.HTC hasn’t totally abandoned their Windows Mobile roots in light of increased Android support, but rumour has it Google’s mobile OS will be taking over for Microsfot’s on the next Touch HD.  Early specs on the Touch HD 2 include a 628 Mhz Qualcomm processor (one of HTC’s fastest to date), and a 3.8″ touchscreen, likely with the same 480 x 800 display as the original. There’s no further info on a release date, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a second Android phone with HTC’s Sense user interface.

If HTC does use Android in the HD2, it will NOT be available in the USA. All the better phones go to Asia and Europe and even Australia, not here, so don’t get your undies in a wad. If you want a phone w a bigger screen, you will have to get the iphone or Omnia.
