By now you’ve probably figured there’s something wrong with the Nokia N97. Not that it’s bad – it’s just far from being a perfect device many expected, myself included. On that note, I was surprised to find out that the Finnish giant moved 2 million N97 units in just three months. As a matter of fact, combined Nokia N97 and 5800 XpressMusic phone sales totalled 10 million in the last 10 months, half of which were generated in the last three months, when the N97 started selling.
You can’t beat the numbers and in that sense I’m thinking the N900 is slated for a huge success. It certainly looks better than the N97, has a modern UI, and way more horsepower under the hood. We’ll be watching this space, have no doubts about it.
