You may have noticed quite a hub-bub around the internets the other day about the Palm Pixi…. and, with good reason. The Pixi is in effect the ‘mini’ version of the Palm Pre, offering up a 2.63″ multi-touch screen, GPS, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, 8GB of storage, and more.

With that in mind, and if you’re eager to learn more, simply hit up Palm.com. You’ll notice Palm has the Pixi front and center on their homepage. In fact, I recommend you hit up the ‘Meet Palm Pixi’ section and check out the video. It might just be me, but I’m diggin’ the look of that luscious QWERTY keyboard… My only hopes are that the keys aren’t squished together too much. I have a gut feeling the thing might be a tad hard to type on. Hopefully I’m wrong!

Note: I wonder when this thing will get launched in Canada… 2012? :P

Another dumbed-down smartphone from Palm? What ever happened to convergence? The Pre did not make-it for this past Palm user due to much hardware not meeting expectations and my needs and the Pixie won’t either if it duplicates the Pre.
