MetroPCS has just announced who they’ll be working with to bring 4G to the masses: Ericsson in the back end, Samsung in the front. The dual-mode LTE/CDMA device should be landing in the second half of 2010 along with the proper network support in metropolitain areas, so there’s still a ways to go, but it’s exciting nonetheless. It’s hard to say if ZTE or RIM are excluded from the initial MetroPCS LTE release now, but there’s still a long time to hash out the details.
