Case-Mate has released a set of colourful iPhone 3G and 3GS cases that have an extra sleeve for credit cards or I.D. of similar size. While cases don’t usually excite me that much, this seems like a simple, handy addition that could make life easier at work functions where you need to have business cards handy, and night life where fishing around for a wallet is awkward, on top of the standard scratch protection a case provides. Think you could this useful? Pick it up for $29.99.

Seems like a good idea. I always got 3 things on me everyday: my iPhone, wallet, and my business card holder. If a case can cut it down to two items, that’d be sweet!

I guess the “All eggs in one basket” analogy is lost on these guys.

I love CaseMate’s new ID cases for the iPhone 3Gs and have one right now but the only problem is the front of the phone is not protected, too much of the phone is exposed. With my other cases, the entire phone is covered and I can drop it without damaging the phone. I like your cases but don’t think I can use them because the front and top of the phone have no protection and when dropped, the screen takes most of the damage, of you could just make it lip over the front of the phone A LITTLE. I found a few generics I want to try because they do this, but I’d rather buy CaseMate. If you were to do this, I know of many other friends and people I’ve spoken to online who would feel more confident in using your case. I would really appreciate it if you could improve on your design. Thank you for your time.
