Evernote Windows client gets an update

In a not exactly pure mobile news, we bring you the story that involves my favorite note-taking tool – Evernote. Their Windows client has been recently updated (version 3.5 beta), packing tons of new features, including:

  • More ways to view your notes (thumbnails, list, mixed)
  • Improved note editing (auto-complete tagging, auto spellchecker, advanced markup, in-note table support, default font size customization, etc.)
  • New functions in the single-note editor window (detailed note information and attributes, emailing and printing of notes)
  • Support for editable description of the search filter
  • New icons and buttons
  • Easier to use “Folder Import” feature
  • Google Maps integration
  • Improved screen clipping
  • Multi-lingual spellcheck
  • Menu options for attaching files to notes without requiring drag-and-drop
  • Advanced note text editor based on Google Chrome
  • Improved database performance for faster searching and sorting of notes
  • Single binary for all supported languages
  • and so much more.

Detailed change log is available from the “official blog post,” and you can grab the application from Evernote’s website. Yes, I highly recommend using Evernote for note taking as you can manage your notes from your mobile phone, too! :)
