Samsung i7500 Galaxy gets another firmware update

Samsung has made available another firmware update for its first Android-powered device – i7500 Galaxy. Although it keeps Android 1.5 Cupcake, firmware version I7500XXII5_VIAII5 will apparently make the phone snappier, more stable, while at the same time ensure the battery lasts longer. In addition, the built-in compass has been improved to better sing along such apps as Google Maps, Sky Maps and Wikitude; and users can now send bitmap MMS. Finally, the screen-unlock has been improved and now the unlock time is just 0.5 seconds.

To update your Galaxy, grab the Samsung’s PC Studio software and follow the steps provided on the screen. Once an update is applied, the Korean giant suggests factory reset…
