Motorola DEXT, the first Android powered device from Motorola and the first to feature the innovative MOTOBLUR solution, will be on sale in the UK from this week.
Ranged exclusively on the Orange network in the UK, Motorola DEXT will be on sale in Orange retail outlets from October 7th and in Phones 4u stores from October 8th. For those eager to experience the DEXT before anyone else, it will be on sale from 3pm at the opening of the Orange Multimedia Store in Milton Keynes on October 6th – Orange’s first Multimedia Store in the UK.
Launched globally in September, Motorola DEXT with MOTOBLUR manages and integrates communications — from work e-mail to social messaging activity — all to your home screen. Updates to contacts, posts, messages, photos and more are streamed together and synced from sources including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, LastFM and Yahoo and work and personal e-mail. MOTOBLUR automatically delivers these updates to the home screen in easy-to-view streams so there is no need to open and close different mobile applications to keep up with the latest content.
Orange is offering the DEXT free to customers who take out a £34.26 per month, 24 month contract. The package includes 900 any network call minutes, unlimited  texts, Orange Maps as well as inclusive anytime internet browsing so users can make the most of their mobile experience.
For more information, visit Orange stores, www.orange.co.uk/shop or Phones 4u stores, www.phones4u.co.uk. To check out more on the DEXT, visit www.motorola.com/motoblur.

Ben Robinson

Ben is a 10+ year veteran of the Mobile industry – starting his career when SMS was a still a relatively new concept for most people (!), he has now consulted on everything from bleeding-edge Mobile content, to the next-gen accessories you might view it on. As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas! He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it... His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the occasional look at devices. Additionally, using his extensive experience in the industry, he will provide commentary on the industry at large, with regular (and hopefully thought-provoking) articles.
