DateCheck Mobile

Need to check whether your online date is safe? There’s an app for that. It’s called DateCheck Mobile and it’s available as a free download for the iPhone/iPod Touch and Android-powered smartphones, allowing users to perform instant background checks on potential dates while on the go.

The application is actually a mobile version of the background check and people search service. With only a name, email, or phone number – the application will search for publicly available information, social networks included. There’s also the so called “Sleaze Detector” feature which scans criminal records, as well as “$$$” feature that gives users information about property ownership. That latter sounds super useful for all the gold diggers out there…

Want it? iTunes AppStore link is here, and if you own an Android handset, you’ll need to search for “DateCheck” for yourself in the Android Market. And before I let you go check out a short demo video after the jump.

What a great tool for stalkers and rapists! However, it does very little to protect woman, since the databases used are so full of holes when it comes to crimianl records. The company that introduced this is called Intelius. Go to your favorite search engine and look up the term “Intelius scam” and then judge for yourself if this is a good product.
