Fring for S60 updated with Skype video calls

Fring has updated its Symbian S60 application to enable Skype video calls! Yap, you’ve read that correctly – now you can use you S60 device and Fring not only to talk with your Skype buddies, but also to “video call” them.

Not all S60 smartphones are supported at the moment. The list includes all touch-enabled phones (S60 5th Edition) such as the 5800 XM, N97, N97 mini and X6; as well as some non-touch handsets – N95, N95 8G and N82. I’m guessing the latter list (non-touch devices) will be expanded in the near future. In the meantime, if you qualify (i.e. have one of the devices mentioned), make sure to grab the latest version of Fring. But before you do so, check out Fring’s short video demoing the new feature. Enjoy! ;)
