Pizza Hut iPhone app scores another award, this time from Forbes

Just when we reported that MMA has honored Pizza Hut’s iPhone app with two awards, the company has scored another award for its iEfforts. This time it’s Forbes Magazine, which named the application as the #1 Branded Mobile Application of 2009.

Commenting on the new award received, Pizza Hut’s Bernard Acoca said: “It is very exciting to be receiving such high accolades surrounding the Pizza Hut App. It’s great that the Pizza Hut App is standing out among other branded applications and providing consumers with an entertaining and engaging ordering experience that delivers results.”

However, probably the best recognition for the Pizza Hut iPhone app is the fact that it helped the company generate $1 million in sales, garnering close to a million downloads…
