Accumulate’s Mobile Everywhere adds Android support

Company called Accumulate announced support for Android on its mobile payment and security platform – Mobile Everywhere. According to the company, using the platform – mobile phones can replace security solutions such as hardware security tokens, one-time codes or certificates on your computer — making the everyday life easier for the user when information can be accessed from anywhere. In addition, the company also announced the Accumulate payment solutions for Android, to enable mobile payments – both off and online.

I’m not sure how exactly Accumulate’s solution works, but apparently it relies an advanced electronic signature, using a method that is known as “true two-factor, dual-line authentication.”

And that’s about all I could pull from the press release. How will this exactly impact the Android market is unclear at the moment, but I certainly hope to finally see mobile payments becoming reality, adopted by a large number of users. Accumulate’s website has more details…
