A year after launching the original iFood Assistant, Kraft Foods has released a new version (2.0) of the application with enhanced content and made the application available in Canada, too — for some reason it was not available there before.
Among the features included in iFood Assistant 2.0, we highlight:
- Offline access to Shopping List, Recipe Box, and Daily Recipes
- Ability to set alerts for “Recipe of the Day”, “Dinner Tonight” and “Special Offers”
- New content including a “Holidays & Entertaining” section and expanded “Budget Wise” section
In addition, Kraft has also released a free version (the price of the full version costs 99 cents) of the application called iFood Assistant LITE, which gives users a free taste of the application’s basic features, such as recipes and tips. This free version is also available for the iPhone and will be released for BlackBerry devices in mid-December.
Finally, Kraft has also revamped its mobile websites: m.kraftfoods.com, m.kraftcanada.com, and m.comidakraft.com, making some of the features from iFood Assistant available to every mobile phone user with a web browser.
