appstore-rewindThe iPhone AppStore may be brimming with tens of thousands of iPhone apps, but most of them end up dying a slow death of iPhone-neglect. Some apps, though, shine like the Sun and end up performing incredibly well on the AppStore. It’s these apps that Apple is highlighting in their year-end AppStore Rewind 2009 list of the best and top-selling iPhone apps.

The best-seller iPhone gaming list is dominated by Electronic Arts, with their SIMS 3, Need for Speed: Undercover, and MADDEN NFL 10 titles. On the top-rated side, we have a more varied collection of games, like Real Racing and DOOM Classic.

On the app side, we see TomTom’s Navigation app, Quickoffice Mobile Office and SlingPlayer Mobile topping the list of best-sellers. Which makes sense, given some of these apps’ higher price tags. Top-rated apps list features the I Am T-Pain app, the SketchBook Mobile app and the CBS Sports app.
