Voltron iPhone game

It’s like a time machine. I can clearly see myself watching the once famous cartoon every friggin’ night “back in the days.” Now Voltron has its iPhone game, which sees you controlling lions in a 2/3 isometric view. Of course, every now and then 5 lions unite to create the ultimate killing machine – Voltron. Too bad the game doesn’t support multi-player mode, which would involve 5 of friends fighting around the universe separately, only to form a Voltron later on and kick some ass – this time united. On the other hand, it would be a mess to control a single character from 5 different iPhone/iPod Touches, but that’s another story.

As for the downside, Voltron for iPhone shows how NOT to create an interface. The controls are super huge taking almost a third of the screen estate. Still, if you’re up for some nostalgia that won’t come as a problem. Also $4 is a small change for that feeling, you would agree… AppStore link is here.

The screenshot being shown is out of date. The controls were actually corrected and the icons for the buttons were moved to the edges of the screen before the game was released… (I’m looking at it on the phone right now.) The shots you’re using must be some that were distributed before the game released…..
