Nokia has announced that the Nokia Booklet 3G, is available to pre-order for £649 at www.nokia.co.uk/shop today.
As we all know, the Booklet has a wicked battery life and Windows 7 – but does that justify £649? Not in my book!
We’ve written on the Booklet many times before, but for the sake of completeness, here are the headlines:
Windows 7 Starter edition software
Intel® Atom™ Z530, 1.6 GHz processor for high performance
Fanless design for efficiency
Fast, reliable 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity from Nokia
10.1″ HD-ready screen, with glass window as well as an HDMI port for video out
Nokia Ovi suite included
So what do you think, £649? In my mind I had a figure like £300-350 floating about, and I think at that price point, it would fly off the shelves – granted, the spec probably doesn’t support that kind of pricing, but nonetheless £649 seems a tad on the harsh side!

when SMS was a still a relatively new concept for most people (!), he has
now consulted on everything from bleeding-edge Mobile content, to the
next-gen accessories you might view it on. As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas!
He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently
