Verizon Wireless - NHL

Verizon, which is already known as NHL’s mobile TV/video partner, is working on a mobile NHL app. Expected to be available in the first half of the year, the forthcoming application will connect the league with the fans. We’re not sure about all the features, but we’re thinking that in addition to the standard player and team information, and latest stats – there will be also some audio and video involved. After all, those are the services Verizon is already offering to its V CAST users. Of course, features will depend on the handset/platform, but it’s fair to guess the Android version will offer the best experience. The same will possibly be true for the webOS version, when they [Verizon] start offering Palm devices. We’ll see…

In the meantime, Verizon is calling its users to tune-in and follow the latest NHL news through their V CAST-enabled phones.

I downloaded this “app” for my Verizon “Droid” … paid for a full year subscription for the live video feeds … it worked great for 2 days .. now I get “Video Not Available” error messages … needless to say .. I’m pretty pissed off, since the 2 day period to get a refund has passed … any suggestions to use another “app” to utilize my subscription will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
