TechDigest is reporting that T-Mobile UK might well be getting the HTC Bravo sometime soon? Bravo, you say? Yes, the Bravo – it’s been patiently waiting in the wings of the Google Nexus One, ready to bring more Android fun to the party. In fact, it’s VERY similar to the Google Nexus One!
So the stat-attack match the Bravo and Nexus One closely together with WVGA AMOLED screens (touch-based, obviously), the 1GHz Snapdragon, WiFi, GPS, 5MP camera, and of course HSDPA. However the Bravo IS packing some other tricks – namely an optical trackpad, and also multitouch (coming as standard, not hacked).
So here’s where it gets tricky – do you go with the big name, big brand, super-hyped device that is the Nexus One, or, the lower key (but ever so slightly more functional?) Bravo? The choice, as they say, is yours
Ben is a 10+ year veteran of the Mobile industry – starting his career
when SMS was a still a relatively new concept for most people (!), he has
now consulted on everything from bleeding-edge Mobile content, to the
next-gen accessories you might view it on. As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas!
He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently
became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years
when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to
'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make
your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device)
isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question
of why you continue to use it...
His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and
infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the
occasional look at devices. Additionally, using his extensive experience
in the industry, he will provide commentary on the industry at large, with
regular (and hopefully thought-provoking) articles.

My vote is for the bravo, sense ui has been the final piece in the puzzle to make android fully appeal. Though that American price for the nexus looks tantelising if it translates fairly over to the uk. On paper the bravo/nexus look like a £500 rrp, the nexus for 400 pounds or below would be a real deal

My vote is also for the bravo, as I’d rather call into a shop in the UK and test drive a phone before buying – no chance of that if you have to buy the N1 from the US – even as an upgrade on a UK contract! Support has got to be better as well – if you have a problem with your handset would you rather get an exchange on the high street or post your phone to the US and await a response? I know what I’d prefer!

Nexus One. The Sense UI from HTC is good but their software support is rubbish. Their last year’s flagship HTC Hero is still on android 1.5 (that’s 3 generation behind) despite their promises (and continuous delay) in updating the software. Nexus One made by HTC but the Android software support is ran by google, you ll always be sure ur phone is running the latest OS! And also, buying Nexus One from US is a very cheap contract-free option.
