GeoVector - World Surfer 2

GeoVector has launched a new version (2.0) of its World Surfer app for the Apple iPhone and Android-powered devices. The updated application adds text search and augmented reality to the mix, allowing users to point their phones in a particular direction to search for retailers, restaurants, clean restrooms and other points of interest such as historical and some other sites. Likewise, you can rely on World Surfer 2 to verify the distance, location and direction of some destination.

And as you find something of interest and afterwards decide it’s the place you want to return later, you can add it to your Favorites, which can be easily accessed at some later point.

AppStore link is here (it’s a free app), whereas Android users should search for “world surfer” in the Android Market.
