Cellular South announced that its acquisition of Alabama-based Corr Wireless Communications is a done deal. With this purchase, the carrier will be able to offer the industry’s best devices, plans and network to customers in northeastern Alabama and parts of Georgia.
For now, Corr Wireless will keep operating under its existing name, but that will most probably change at some point in the future. In the meantime, Cellular South will offer more devices, plans and improved network quality to Corr’s customers.
Cellular South hopes that this move, along with their purchase of 700 MHz spectrum in 2008, will help them roll-out an LTE-based network in Alabama and other places.
