As expected, T-Mobile has launched their latest Android-powered myTouch 3G device today. The device isn’t named myTouch 3G 1.2 as many expected, instead, the device will keep the myTouch 3G moniker (however I’m sure geeks like me will still refer to it as the 1.2!). The new offering will slide in to replace the older model, and bring some additional features to the table, such as:

  • A built-in 3.5mm headset jack
  • Updated music player
  • 288 MB of RAM
  • 8GB microSD card
  • Swype text input technology
  • New preloaded apps including Barcode Scanner, Music Player, myAccount and Visual Voicemail

Available now, the new T-Mobile myTouch 3G is going for $149.99 on a new 2-year service agreement. You can head on over to a T-Mobile retail location to pick one up, or grab your device online at www.T-MobilemyTouch.com. Keep in mind, the original myTouch 3G is going now for $99.99. I say go new or go home… But whatever floats your boat :)
