Synchronica, the company which we usually know as a mobile email services provider, has decided to jump into hardware business and launch two messaging phones for emerging markets of Latin America, Eastern Europe and South-East Asia. The devices unveiled are called MessagePhone QS150 and MessagePhone QS200, but both of them will probably end up being re-branded by carriers — Synchronica is offering them as a white-label solution. Speaking of carriers, the company has already managed to convince two subsidiaries of large operator groups to place purchase orders.

Specs wise, both the QS150 and QS200 come with full QWERTY keyboard, 2.2-inch QVGA screen, GPRS connectivity (tri-band for QS150, and quad-band for QS200), camera (VGA for QS150, and 1.3-megapixel for QS200), microSD memory card slot, and a battery that delivers enough juice for up to 5.5 hours of talk and up to 17 days of standby time. In addition, the QS150 sports 10MB of user memory, whereas the QS200 goes “way up to” 32MB, and also has an FM radio. Finally, both devices come with Java MIDP 2.0 support, and include pre-installed apps for email (with push support), instant messaging, social networking, web browsing (BOLT), and so on… Additional information is available from a dedicated website.
