A long-time awaited firmware update for the Samsung i8910 HD has been released. Firmware JB1 packs some cool improvements such as kinetic scrolling (almost) all around the apps, improved web browser (faster, auto full-screen), camera and video recording settings improvements, as well as a number of bug fixes.

On the down side, after the update, flash memory on disk C: goes from the default 30MB to 17MB. I have no idea why is this the case, can only hope Samsung knows what it’s doing — some i8910 hackers managed to free up to 100MB on disk C:.

Anyway, we advise you to keep your phone’s firmware up to date always – hence, don’t hesitate to push the button. Make sure to backup all your date prior to proceeding, though. ;)
