Having been given the approval from AT&T and Apple, a new version of SlingPlayer Mobile (1.2) is now available in the App Store… and the big news here is that 3G streaming is enabled! This latest edition features a new streaming optimization method, one that AT&T has been working on for quite some time. I couldn’t tell you personally of any performance gains here, but if you have a SlingBox and couple it with the new SlingPlayer Mobile, you should notice quite a difference when connected over 3G.

SlingPlayer Mobile will run you $29.99 in the App Store (iTunes link). For more information on SlingPlayer Mobile, the Slingbox PRO-HD and SOLO, hit up slingmedia.com.
