Huawei launches 4/5 Android phones in Barcelona, first HSPA+ Android smartphone included

China’s Huawei has unveiled 4 (or that’s 5) phones in Barcelona, all of them apparently running Android OS. It’s a big step for the company, which aggressively pursues the mobile phone market in Europe and elsewhere. Without further ado, here what they’ve announced:

Huawei U8800

  • HSPA+ support providing download speeds of up to 14Mbps
  • Android 2.1
  • 3.8-inch wide screen (WVGA?)
  • Available in Q3 2010

Huawei U8300

  • Aimed at the youth market, it incorporates popular social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • Available in three bright colors: green, yellow and purple.

Huawei vU8100/U8110 (two phones)

  • Entry-level smartphones
  • 2.8-inch WQVGA touchscreen
  • 3.2-megapixel camera + front-facing VGA camera
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • Available in Q2 in Europe

Huawei SmaKit S7

  • Tablet with 7-inch WVGA touchscreen
  • Access to social networks and app stores
  • Ability to connect the device to home gateway and/or TV
