Leaked: Windows Phone 7 development docs

Thanks to the good folks of XDA Developers community, we have some leaked Window Mobile 7 developer docs to share. From the images bellow, you’ll learn that the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS is multi-tasking capable, after all.

The bad thing, however, is that most developers won’t get complete access to native APIs. I’m guessing the Redmond giant wants to make sure the latest version of Windows Mobile is as safe as other platforms, hence full access will be reserved for special partners, which may not include some OEMs and operators.

The main developer tools will be Visual Studio and Expression Blend for the XAML UI. Silverlight will also be support (expectedly), as well as XNA, which is the same programming language used for ZuneHD and X-Box Live games development. Is this a part of Microsoft’s cross platform compatibility efforts, or what?

Finally, we learn about runtime services that can be used for notifications, including those made by third parties. That’s nice and, again, kinda expected considering this already works on the iPhone.

It’s good to see Microsoft moving forward and I honestly hope to see them flying as high as they used to. 😉
