That last rumoured launch date for Palm’s next version of webOS didn’t exactly pan out, but fresh tipsters are hinting that February 25 will be when we see a proper public release. Maybe that first leak was the due date for some internal team, who knows.
If previous documents are any indicator, video recording and editing, phonebook importing and exporting, and calendar and messaging “enhancements” are all expected to be a part of the update. Flash 10.1 is also likely, along with new card handling, some LED setting changes, and a few expected speed improvements.
Overall, webOS 1.4 is shaping up to be quite a doozy of an update, but they’ll need to fight hard to catch up to Android’ monstrous momentum.
