Motorola’s Executive Vice President and President of Home and Network Mobility business, Daniel M. Moloney, is leaving the company to become a head honcho at Philadelphia-based Technitrol at the end of March. He will not be replaced on the position, as Moto’s co-CEO Sanjay Jha will continue to lead the combined Mobile Devices and Home businesses, effective immediately.
Moloney has been running Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility group since 2007, reporting to Greg Brows, the company’s other CEO. After the reorganization, he reported to Sanjay Jha, instead. In total, Moloney served nearly 10 years in senior-level capacities at the company, and before that, 16 years in managerial positions at General Instrument Corporation (GIC), which was acquired by Motorola in year 2000.
Technitrol is a public company that produces electronic components, electrical contacts and assemblies and other precision-engineered parts and materials for manufacturers in the data networking, broadband/Internet access, telecommunications, military/aerospace, automotive and electrical equipment industries.
