Live Sky TV now available on the move with Nokia

Nokia and Sky have announced the availability of a landmark new TV application, which is set to “revolutionise the viewing habits of Nokia phone owners”. Crumbs, that’s a bold statement! I’m sure you know who Nokia are (!), but for those of you that don’t know Sky – there are a Satellite Pay-TV Operator, notable for their operations here in the UK, where they’ve got an impressive installed base of users.

The functionality includes:

  • Watch Sky Sports LIVE on your phone, incl. all televised Barclays Premier League matches
  • Be the first to watch Barclays Premier League goals and match highlights with 24-7 Football
  • Remote Record your favourite programmes straight to your Sky+ box using Remote Record
  • Be the first to get all the breaking Sky News headlines
  • Keep up-to-date with all the latest sports stories with Sky Sports

The first compatible handsets are the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and Nokia 5530, with the Nokia 5230 and X6 versions following shortly. A version of the application with non-live mobile TV features will also be available on 10 further handsets.

As mentioned above, the app is compatible with a range of Nokia phones and can be downloaded for free from Nokia’s Ovi Store.
