Don’t fret T-Mobile G1 users, the folks at T-Mobile have not forgotten about you. I suspected there’d be a little more Android goodness to come, and sure enough, via a leaked shot from T-Mo’s internal systems, a somewhat minor update is on its way out… It’s already started, in fact! According to the shot, starting on February 26th a new Android 1.6 (DMD64) update began its rollout. The release will continue through March 15th, when T-Mobile hopes to be done with this one. No HUGE changes in 1.6, but G1 owners can expect to see improved call performance if nothing else.

If you’re on the T-Mo G1 and haven’t received notification yet, no worries. It’s coming. One day soon you’ll receive a notification asking you to install now or later. Keep your eyes open for it… and enjoy.
