As they promised back in July of last year, ABSOLUT is bringing its Drinkspiration application to the Android platform. As you may know from our description of the iPhone version, Drinkspiration is a complex application that includes several elements, including:

  • Interactive encyclopedia of recipes – which helps users find a perfect drink based on multiple criteria such as taste, weather, time of day, bar vibe, sound volume, real-time drink trends and more.
  • Social networking integration – allowing users to share their favorite cocktails with their buddies and/or followers on Facebook and Twitter. Add GPS to the mix, and you get automatically generated status updates like “Stefan Constantinescu is having a screwdriver in Helsinki, Finland.” :)
  • Integration with absolutdrinks.com – where ABSOLUT fans meet, and from where they can download interactive badges to place on their blogs or websites.

All these elements make Drinkspiration suitable for both end users and bartenders, who may like to know what people, are drinking at any given moment. It remains the free application and you can grab it from the Android Market.
