I-play’s Paper Boat Race hitting the AppStore this Friday

I-play announced that it will release a new game in the AppStore this Friday. It’s called Paper Boat Race, and as you can guess from its name, it sees you racing with a paper boat against (guess) other paper boats.

You can either play with standard touch controls and accelerometer or go for the “real thing” and use your “blowing skills” to push your boat forward. That’s what actually makes the game unique, but unfortunately that’s a feature iPod Touch users won’t be able to try out, at least not without an external microphone.

In case you care to know, Paper Boat Race was developed by Musigames and it will come integrated with OpenFeint’s online leaders and achievements board, where you can clearly see the top “blowers.” 🙂

I like how it sounds, even though I’m not a big fan of racing games. There is no iTunes link to share before Friday, so make sure to remember to search for “Paper Boat Race” in iTunes later in the week.
