Fring, the popular VoIP and multi-network IM client, has updated its Android client. The new version of the application comes with a revamped user interface, featuring updated buddy list that effectively makes your contacts more accessible. Your friends’ pictures along with their mood lines are now displayed on the call screen.
The second new item in this version is personalized profile, allowing you to upload a picture and edit your mood, email address and phone number.
Then, there’s a dialer screen (including DTMF), so you can dial in numbers during a call.
Finally, Fring says voice quality is improved, Links are now visible as such in the chat screen, while some of the known bugs have been fixed.
To grab the latest version of Fring, search for it in the Android Market or scan barcode on the left.
And in case you don’t know, in addition to chatting with your Skype buddies, you can use Fring to actually call and accept calls from them.
