HTC is known for releasing a number of hotfixes for their devices, as (I guess) requested by their users. Lately, we caught a hotfix for two of HTC’s Windows Mobile smartphones — HD2 and TouchPro2 — that updates the phone’s Facebook client, restoring the ability to view your friends’ photo albums.
As usual, we advise you to backup your device prior to pushing any update/fix buttons. Or — if you don’t need Facebook on your WinMo device — you don’t have to do anything.
Here are two pages from where you can grab Facebook Album hotfixes: HD2 and Touch Pro2.
Now I wonder where’s the hotfix for the Diamond2? I always thought it runs the pretty much same software as the Touch Pro2. Both the Diamond2 and its QWERTY keyboard-equipped brother have been announced at the same time, boasting the same version of HTC’s TouchFLO 3D UI that runs on top of Windows Mobile. Is this a sign that HTC is abandoning the Diamond2 in favor of HD2, or what? Any thoughts?
UPDATE: HTC Diamond2 got its Facebook Album hotfix, too! Here’s the link from where you can grab it.
