The Apple AppStore has added a new section to its virtual store shelves to accomodate the iPad. In the process, Apple has birthed an entirely new genre of mobile apps. There are now thousands of iPad-specific apps to complement the hundreds of thousands of iPhone apps that will help you generate fart sounds, calculate tips, and track menstrual cycles – and there are surprisingly some slightly more useful apps out there as well.
