iPad Price Plans on Rogers Coming in Late May

My fellow Canadians, the last we heard the iPad would be launching in our fair country the weekend of April 24th. At this point, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Apple employees have been asked to NOT book work off that weekend, AND, the date does fall in ‘late April’, per Apple’s initial tease.

With a late April launch that couldn’t come soon enough, more word has hit our inbox from Rogers to spice up the deal. Word has it that Rogers will offer iPad price plans for all 3G-enabled iPad devices from the end of May!

News like this further solidifies the April 24th launch date. Perhaps an initial launch on the weekend of the 24th, with the 3G-enabled iPads going up for grabs in late May? Let’s wait and see!

I already have 2 smartphones with rogers, both with a 6 GB data plan, so I see no reason to pay for a 3G iPad when i can just buy the WiFi version and tether it with my 12GB worth of data that I am already paying for. Remember Rogers does NOT CHARGE extra to tether

Well, we just learned today that iPad will not come to Canada until the end of May but pre-orders commence May 10.

Yes, so disappointing… this news came early in the day, and the sad news from Apple came later. I may have to head to the US to pick one up! :)
