It’s looking more and more like the end of May is going to be chalked-full of BlackBerry Pearl 3G goodness. Speaking on the Canadian side of things, TELUS, Bell, Rogers and even Virgin Mobile are all geared up and ready for launches later this month. That’s why, it comes as no surprise to me to hear that Telstra (in Australia) will be launching the Pearl 3G later this month as well.
The launch on Telstra will be an exclusive, so anyone looking to strike a Pearl 3G will want to head through the doors of this carrier. Coming in ‘Piano Black’ and ‘Royal Purple’, the new 9100 could very well be a hit. Telstra customers can ‘register their interest’ right here… and if that wasn’t enough, Telstra also has a ‘BlackBerry BlockParty’ in the works. It will consist of a concert with a ‘mystery performing artist’. Oooooooooh… Wonder who it’ll be. Anyone but Will.i.am, please! For more info on the party, hit up www.blackberryblockparty.com.au.
Key specs on the BlackBerry 9100 (aka Pearl 3G) again: SureType keyboard, optical trackpad, 3.2MP camera with autofocus and image stabilisation, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 256MB flash memory (expandable to 32GB via microSD… and more.
