iPhone 4G Upgrade Eligibility Date

iPhone 3GS users on AT&T will find this quite interesting. You may (or may not) have noticed your iPhone upgrade eligibility date changing over the past little while. New iPhone goodness? Yes, it’s coming soon!

The folks at MobileCrunch recently noticed their upgrade eligibility date was changed… Here’s what they had to say:

“Not sure if anyone [..] has noticed this same thing, but my Upgrade Eligibility date on my AT&T account switched from 11/21 to 6/21 in the last day or so. I bought a 3GS on launch day last year, and my upgrade date read 11/21 since then. A few other folks in my office have noticed the same changes happening to their accounts as well.”

With that knowledge in-hand, we can say that June 21st could very well be the release date of the next-gen iPhone. Sure, there’s no official confirmation from Apple or AT&T as of yet, but if the upgrade eligibility date is set for the 21st… Well, you get the picture.

Look for more details to drop before, during and after WWDC 2010, which takes place at the Moscone West venue in San Francisco, June 7-11.

I think they may have just moved up the eligibility by 6 months. I purchased an iPhone 3G in January of last year. My upgrade eligibility is now 06/07/2010.

… do you know how many carriers would LOVE to gain customers… and renewals.

… and without an $18 "upgrade fee".

If you are ALREADY a customer… and already paid the original "$18 sign-up fee"…why are you paying it again and again????
