Flight Control for iPhone to get an update soon

Firemint said that an update for their highly successful iPhone game, Flight Control, will be released soon. Here’s what’s coming:

  • A new map called Windy Airfield. What’s new about it is that you’ll have to keep your eyes on the wind direction as it can influence/change your plane’s trajectory. A sudden change in wind direction can even close some runways, so you’ll have to re-route planes in a hurry.
  • The Safe Fast Forward mode, which we’ve already seen in the Flight Control HD (for iPad). As you can guess for yourself, this option speeds up the game, which can come quite handy when you have all your routes planned. The game is returned back to normal speed with a first collision warning sound.

In addition, Firemont promises more vibrant colours, shadows, new map details, as well as some game performance improvements.

The exact day of the update is unknown, though iTunes will eventually inform you about the new version being available.
