The Verizon Droid Incredible, which is actually the HTC Incredible, has been a hot seller since launch. The HTC Droid Incredible has been selling well on Verizon – which is actually sort of an understatement. What makes it all the more enticing is that there has been minimal advertising on TV for the device. Well, we finally have a new ad that shows off the device, if only for about a second, and at the very end of the ad.

When Verizon’s Motorola Droid campaign got going, you couldn’t watch a full TV show without seeing a few “Droid Does” commercials. At first, they were kind of fun, and interesting, but now I’m just ready for them to advertise the latest HTC-made Android phone for Verizon. It’s a better device after all, and they should push it as hard as possible.

So, why the virtual TV silence on the Verizon Droid Incredible? Verizon could be trying to keep the device under wraps as far as marketing is concerned for the moment. They may be laying low for now, with plans to counter soon-to-be-announced competitors by flooding the airwaves with Droid Incredible commercials and advertisements when that time comes. Strategery, if you will.

This new ad for the Incredible is what you’d expect from the Droid commercials. I must say, Verizon gets ballsy when it mentions the device, saying, “The Droid Incredible from HTC, nothing short of its name.” The device may be pretty amazing, and still has a great chance of taking a lot of would be iPhone users away from AT&T, but it’s only amount of time (weeks, really) before the Incredible is out-specd. The Incredible is one hell of a device, and should still be in the running for one of the best smartphones of the year. So far.

What I’d really like to see is an ad showing off the Sense UI on the Incredible. It’s what really gives it the edge over the Nexus One, give or take a couple of specs. The Sense user interface may be a little too ‘pretty’ for some guys, and right now, there’s no way to turn the custom UI off. Still, the look and feel of the device, including the software, is slick, and shouldn’t deter anyone from considering one of the best devices available.

Incredible is nice ui, but battery is incredibly weak. Until it’s rooted, N1 and Moto Droid smoke it with under-volted kernels.
