After AAA Discounts and AAA Roadside, AAA is launching another iPhone title – AAA TripTik Mobile, allowing users to compare fuel prices at stations close to home or on the road. That function alone is available with many other apps, so I’m wondering whether a single function app stand a chance in the ever-crowded AppStore? AAA thinks it does, especially because they follow/update gas prices constantly and also provide users with maps, directions and their travel information.

The idea of launching AAA TripTik Mobile now is to reach all those people who plan to go on a road trip this summer and who may want to skip surprising (read – more expensive) gas prices.

In addition to gas stations, AAA’s latest app can be used for reaching to AAA Approved hotels and restaurants, attractions, AAA offices and other points of interest nearby. You can also read AAA’s Diamond Ratings based on professional in-person inspections, and eventually call for reservations…
