Google Voice for Android Updated With SMS Improvements

Following up on a push notification update last month, Google Voice’s Android app has been recently updated with the ability to toggle SMS forwarding, and now includes sender information in notifications. All of those students who have managed to wrangle a free account can get downloading the latest from

Google Voice is a U.S.-only service that allows phone calls from multiple numbers to be funneled and tracked through a single one, and provide related features like voicemail transcription and text message archive. Google Voice launched on mobile last summer after a lengthy integration with GrandCentral, which Google acquired last September.
