Following up on a push notification update last month, Google Voice’s Android app has been recently updated with the ability to toggle SMS forwarding, and now includes sender information in notifications. Google Voice is a U.S.-only service that allows phone calls from multiple numbers to be funneled and tracked through a single one, and provide related features like voicemail transcription and text message archive. Google Voice launched on mobile last summer after a lengthy integration with GrandCentral, which Google acquired last September.
