We haven’t really had a chance to breathe since iOS 4 was announced at WWDC yesterday, but the new operating system has now been jailbroken for the iPhone 3GS. It really shouldn’t come as a surprise since iPhone OS 4 was jailbroken with the quickness, but if you’re running iOS 4 Gold Master and you’ve been wondering how long it would be before it’s jailbroken, well, you didn’t have much time to wonder, did you?
Courtesy of msft.guy, the same fellow who fixed blacksn0w and blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3GS, there is now a PwnageTool bundle for the iPhone 3GS for iOS 4 GM. Although it might be wiser to wait for the iPhone Dev Team to break out with a more official jailbreak and unlock tool, coming in the form of PwnageTool 4, for iOS 4. In the meantime, here is a video of an iPhone 3GS running a jailbroken copy of iOS 4 Gold Master:
