India’s Rcom to launch Android-powered Samsung Galaxy i899

India’s Rcom has listed the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy i899 in the “Coming Soon” section of their website. The device which we know as the Samsung Saturn for Chinese market is slated to be the first CDMA-based Android smartphone in India.

As you know from our previous post (where talked about the Saturn), we’re talking about a phone which specs include a 3.2-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, DivX video playback, 1440mAh battery and, of course, a microSD memory card slot. In addition, Rcom is pre-installing its Reliance Netconnect app onto the device.

Pricing is unknown at this moment, but I’m sure our readers from India will have all the details in the near future. After all, it’s Rcom’s first Android smartphone and I’m sure it won’t save cash to promote it effectively. If you hear some news regarding the price of the phone, don’t hesitate to drop us a comment in the form below, k? 😉
