Verizon Offering 5GB Pre-paid Data for $80, and FiveSpot Next Month?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell you that there is a whole lot more you can do with 5GB of data than 1GB, and the latter is the most Verizon is offering right now in its pre-paid bucket. Anything more than some casual browsing and a few e-mails here and there and you’ll be crying over overage fees. Luckily, Verizon might be coming up with a slightly better offer for you. Word is that Big Red will be offering up 5GB of data pre-paid for just $80. This could also be good news in light of the rumor that Verizon might be killing off its unlimited data plans, too.

On a somewhat related note, Verizon is also rumored to be offering up its FiveSpot mobile hotspot. Why is it called such? Well, one can only assume that you can have up to five users simultaneously on this mobile hotspot, hence the ever-so-clever name. Because details are scant, there is no word on pricing just yet for this MiFi type device.
