HTC's Windows Mobile smartphone - HD2

HTC has released yet another update for its popular Windows Mobile smartphone – HD2. This time they’re adding support for recurring calendar appointments year on year.

Here’s how to install it:

  1. First, make sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed on your Windows XP PC or Windows Mobile Device Center on your Windows Vista PC.
  2. Connect and synchronize your device with your PC using the USB cable.
  3. Select the update from this page and the location closest to you, then click “Download”.
  4. Copy the update, which is an .exe file, to your HD2. Then tap that .exe file on your phone and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note this update is not for T-Mobile’s HTC HD2, but for the “regular” HD2. Also, if you perform a device hard reset, you will need to reinstall the update after the hard reset.

And as always, make sure to backup all your data prior to pressing/tapping any buttons. Your data shouldn’t be affected in any way, but you never know what could go wrong…
