Nokia's web browser for S40 feature phones

Nokia doesn’t seem to like the super success of Opera Mini, hence we now have them unveiling Ovi Browser for their Series 40 feature phones. Still in beta, the application works pretty much like all other feature phone web browsers out there, heavily compressing the data to save bandwidth consumption while at the same time working faster.

In addition, Ovi Browser also includes an “innovative user interface” that makes it easy to access web pages directly from the start page without having to hunt through menus.

Ovi Browser is available as a free download for such Nokia phones as 2700 Classic, 2730 Classic, 3120 Classic, 3600 Slide, 5130 XpressMusic, 5220 XpressMusic, 5310 XpressMusic, 5330 Mobile TV Edition, 5330 XpressMusic, 5610, 6300i, 6303, 6500 Slide, 6500 Classic, 6600 Slide, 6700 Classic, 7210 Supernova, 7900 Prism and X3.

At the end of the blog post, we’re reminded this is still a beta release, hence you can experience some glitches here and there. Moreover, Nokia wowed to build up the global infrastructure to handle the impeding traffic surge…

Can't wait till nokia release the full version. Because current nokia browser is suck, so I used Opera Mini for my browser in my 5800 XM.
Hope it has same or better quality with Opera Mini…
